The Role:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to help the pupil access learning, engage in classroom activities, and develop greater independence.
- Support the pupil with learning difficulties, communication needs, emotional regulation, and behaviour where required.
- Work closely with the class teacher and ALNCo to adapt learning activities and follow individual support strategies.
- Encourage social interaction, positive behaviour, and participation in the wider classroom environment.
- Support transitions throughout the school day, including break and lunchtime where needed.
Requirements:
- At least 6 months' experience supporting children with ALN or complex needs, ideally in a 1:1 role.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through Academics.
