About this role
This permanent Test and Installation Engineer role in Bowdon combines testing and service engineering, with international travel opportunities across Europe and sometimes further afield. You will work with very high spec, custom-made equipment, testing each order thoroughly, which can take one to two weeks, before installing it on site. On average you will be away for two to three days per trip, slightly longer when abroad, so you should be comfortable with flying. The role offers a balance between travel and time at home, working in a clean and warm environment. Salary is £35,000 to £40,000 per annum.

It's the type of role where you won't be stuck doing the same thing day in and day out. You'll be working with very high spec equipment, and each one is custom made per order. It's complex so could take 1-2 weeks to fully test it, before you then go to install it on site. This isn't industrial, so you'll be working in a clean and warm environment! The people are brilliant, all really dedicated to their work and pulling in the same direction. They just need an extra person to help with the workload: it's been a busy few years for them. The Candidate:
The successful candidate will be positive and confident in their ability, and will have most of the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a customer focused engineering role
- Experience working with electro-mechanical equipment
- Ability to solve problems and think on your feet to look for a solution
- Happy to travel nationally and internationally up to 25% of the time
- Excellent communication skills
- Full driving license and valid passport
