About this role
This is an initial temporary contract for six months, with a view to extension or a permanent position for the right candidate, working as a TA Visiting Officer for Slough Council. Based at SL1 2EJ, the role involves two days of visits, one day in the office and two days working from home. You will conduct regular visits to temporary accommodation, including bed and breakfast and nightly paid accommodation, complete suitability assessments in line with legislation and council policy, engage sensitively with households, verify occupancy and household composition, and maintain accurate records and reports. The rate is £22.98 per hour, negotiable dependent upon experience.

I am currently representing Slough Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience
We are looking for a TA Visiting Officer-this role will be based at: SL1 2EJ,
2 days visits, 1 day in office and 2 days WFH
The right candidate will:
- Conduct regular visits to temporary accommodation, including bed and breakfast and nightly paid accommodation.
- Complete suitability assessments in line with legislation and council policy.
- Engage sensitively with households in temporary accommodation.
- Verify occupancy and household composition during visits.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
We require the following:
- Experience working in housing, homelessness, or a related field.
- Experience visiting properties and service users.
- Experience dealing with vulnerable people.
