About this role
This is a contract Senior PCB Design Engineer role based in Avonmouth, supporting an aerospace business within its Motors & Power Systems team. The day rate is £375–£390. You will bring PCB design expertise to the development of electric aviation technology, working closely with hardware and power systems engineers. Responsibilities include PCB layout for complex electronic assemblies, multilayer board design, component placement and routing, and addressing signal integrity, power integrity and EMC considerations. The role also involves design for manufacture, assembly and test, and working with hardware engineers and PCB suppliers to resolve design and manufacturing challenges.

ARCA is supporting an aerospace business with the appointment of a Senior PCB Design Engineer to join its Motors & Power Systems team.
This is an opportunity to bring your PCB design expertise to the development of electric aviation technology, working closely with hardware and power systems engineers.
We're keen to speak with engineers with experience across:
- PCB layout for complex electronic assemblies.
- Multilayer board design, component placement and routing.
- Signal integrity, power integrity and EMC considerations.
- Design for manufacture, assembly and test.
- Working with hardware engineers and PCB suppliers to resolve design and manufacturing challenges.
Experience with motor control, power electronics or safety-critical hardware would be particularly relevant.
