Senior IT Support Engineer
Salary: Circa andpound;55K - andpound;65K + Bonus + Benefits
Location: Home Based / Oxford - up to 4 days per month
A well-established Top Tech Company is looking for an experienced Senior IT Support Engineer to support business-critical systems across a complex, highly available infrastructure environment!
This is a varied, challenging roleandnbsp;with a particular focus on virtualisation, alongside the ongoing support and development of Microsoft-based infrastructure and IT supplier management
Youand#39;ll have the opportunity to take ownership of significant infrastructure projects, contribute to technical decisions and bring fresh ideas to an experienced and supportive team
Essential:
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V in complex infrastructure environments
- Experience managing virtualisation infrastructure, including upgrades, migrations or significant changes
- Strong Microsoft infrastructure experience, particularly Windows Server and Active Directory
- Experience managing external IT suppliers
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to take ownership of complex technical issues
- Experience supporting reliable, business-critical infrastructure
Nice-to-have:
- Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
- Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365
- Relevant VMware, Hyper-V or Microsoft certifications
- Experience supporting infrastructure across multiple data centres
- Experience evaluating new technologies and recommending infrastructure improvements
