Senior Estimator
Permanent | Full-Time | Derbyshire
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join an established construction contractor on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded construction professional to take ownership of the estimating and tendering process, helping secure new projects across a varied portfolio of construction and refurbishment works.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions.
- Review construction drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Identify commercial risks, cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and internal teams throughout the tender process.
- Support tender negotiations and ensure a smooth handover to project delivery teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator or in a similar construction estimating role.
- Strong knowledge of construction and refurbishment projects.
- Excellent commercial awareness, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant estimating software.
- Full UK driving licence.
