We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join a busy food production facility in Newmarket. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of production operatives, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining food safety and quality standards.
Shift Pattern
Applicants must be willing to work one of the following shifts:
- 6:00am - 2:00pm
- 2:00pm - 10:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of production operatives.
- Ensure daily production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Monitor product quality and food safety standards throughout the production process.
- Allocate tasks and resources to maximise productivity.
- Conduct team briefings and provide clear communication across shifts.
- Identify and resolve production issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health andamp; safety regulations, company procedures, and food hygiene standards.
- Support training and development of team members.
- Complete production records and reports accurately.
- Work closely with management and other departments to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, or Senior Operative role within a food production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Good understanding of food safety, quality standards, and health andamp; safety requirements.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Flexible and proactive approach to work.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
