Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Southfleet
£48,500 Basic Salary
4 on 4 off Nights (Permanent Nights)
We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Dartford SouthFleet. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased engineer looking to develop their skills and progress within a growing engineering team.

The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of production and packaging equipment, ensuring machinery operates efficiently and downtime is minimised.

Key Responsibilities:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive breakdown maintenance
- Fault finding and repairs on mechanical equipment
- Working on conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings and production machinery
- Supporting continuous improvement activities
- Maintaining health and safety standards
Requirements:
- Mechanical maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, food, automotive or industrial environments
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Apprentice trained or engineering qualification beneficial
- Motivated to develop electrical skills and become multi-skilled
