Learning Support Assistant

Weandrsquo;re looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive education setting, working closely with young adults with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people develop their confidence, independence and skills for the future.

The Role

Youandrsquo;ll provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping young adults access learning, overcome barriers and achieve their potential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting young adults with a range of additional learning needs.

  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support in the classroom and wider learning environment.

  • Helping students develop confidence, communication and independence.

  • Supporting students to work towards the outcomes outlined in their EHCPs.

  • Encouraging positive behaviour, participation and engagement.

  • Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals.

  • Building positive, trusting relationships with students.

  • Helping young people develop practical and employability skills.

About You

Weandrsquo;re looking for someone who is:

  • Patient, understanding and approachable.

  • Passionate about helping young people reach their potential.

  • Confident in building positive relationships.

  • Calm and supportive in challenging situations.

  • Reliable, proactive and adaptable.

  • A strong communicator and team player.

Experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is desirable but not essential. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.

Why Join Us?

This is more than a classroom support role. Youandrsquo;ll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference at an important stage of young adultsandrsquo; lives, helping them build the confidence, independence and practical skills they need for their next steps.

If youandrsquo;re compassionate, resilient and passionate about helping young people succeed, weandrsquo;d love to hear from you!
