About the role
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking General Operative to join a busy team based in Ampthill. As a General Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks as directed by the foreman. This can range from ensuring cabins are in a good clean state of repair before leaving the depot and ensuring the yard and genral work areas remain organised, safe, and fully operational.andnbsp;
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining equipment and supporting daily operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a Yard Operative looking for stable, long-term work with the potential to secure a permanent position.andnbsp;
Key responsibilities
andbull; Carry out general cleaning duties across the yard and cabins
andbull; Assist with basic maintenance and housekeeping task.
andbull; Support servicing of mobile units as required
andbull; Support the loading and unloading of cabins safely and efficiently
andbull; Follow instructions from the foreman to complete daily tasks
andbull; Maintain a tidy and organised working environment
Skills and experience required
andbull; Previous experience in a general operative role, yard operative role or something similar is beneficial.andnbsp;
andbull; Ability to carry out manual handling tasks
andbull; Good awareness of health and safety practices
andbull; Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Must have Driving License for this role.andnbsp;
