Description
We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a professional commercial vehicle workshop in Northampton.
Salary andndash; andpound;45,760andndash;andpound;52,624 per annum, depending on experience.
Rotating Shift Pattern
Early Shift
- Mondayandndash;Thursday: 06:00andndash;15:30.
- Friday: 06:00andndash;14:30.
Late Shift
- Mondayandndash;Thursday: 12:30andndash;22:00.
- Friday: 12:30andndash;21:00.
Saturday
- 07:00/08:00andndash;12:00, paid at overtime rates.
- 44 hours per week.
The HGV Technician Role
- Service, maintain and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles.
- Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
- Complete defect repairs and use diagnostic equipment.
- Follow manufacturer procedures and workshop standards.
- Complete job cards and repair documentation.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Reliable and professional approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
