About this role
Platinum People are recruiting five HGV Class 2 Drivers on a permanent basis for our client in Wetherby, with immediate starts available. This role suits drivers who hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence and are ready to begin work promptly. As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will carry out driving duties for our client and work as part of a team of five recruits being placed at the Wetherby site. Applicants should be reliable and able to start without delay. The position is offered on a permanent contract, and successful candidates will be employed through Platinum People.
Job Description
Platinum People are recruiting for 5 x HGV Class 2 Driver at our client in Wetherby.
Duties HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Manual delivery of kegs to store rooms/cellars of pubs, bars, restaurants, casinos etc
- All vehicles are pre loaded and routes pre planned, 2 man delivery teams with a drivers mate for assistance
-Monday-Friday shift pattern 06:00 start
- Average 12-14 drops daily with average shift length between 8-10 hours
- Full induction including manual handling training given (paid after 2 weeks)
-Temp to perm role after 12 weeks
Pay HGV Class 2 Driver:
16.54 Monday-Friday plus Holiday Pay
18.54 - Monday-Friday - Including holiday pay
-Temp to perm after 12 weeks
Requirements HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Valid driving licence cat C
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving.
- Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
