This is a permanent Graduate Geologist position based in Nottingham, offering a first role in which to develop skills and build a career. Responsibilities include carrying out Phase 1 Desktop Studies and Phase 2 ground investigations, assisting with site walkovers, writing factual reports, and undertaking soil and rock logging alongside groundwater and gas monitoring. The successful candidate will have a degree in Geology, Geoscience, civil engineering with a focus on Geotechnics, or a relevant subject, hold a full UK driving licence, have the full right to work in the UK, live commutable to Nottingham, and show enthusiasm for working outdoors in a hands-on role.

Graduate Geologist
Salary: £26,000 - £29,000
Location: Nottingham
A geotechnical contractor based in Nottingham is seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic graduate geologist to join their team on a huge variety of projects. The company offers an excellent first position for a graduate to develop their skills and kickstart their career.

The Graduate Geologist selected will have a range of responsibilities. These include carrying out Phase 1 Desktop Studies, Phase 2 ground investigations, assisting with site walkovers, writing factual reports, carrying out soil and rock logging, groundwater and gas monitoring and observing day to day tasks in contribution to training.
The successful Graduate Geologist will:
- Have a degree in Geology, Geoscience, civil engineering with a focus on Geotechnics, or a relevant subject (MSc preferable).
- Hold a full UK Driving licence.
- Have a full right to work in the UK.
- Live commutable to Nottingham.
- Be keen to learn and develop geo-environmental/geotechnical skills.
- Show enthusiasm for working outdoors in a hands on role.
