About this role
Our client, a well-established further education college, is seeking a permanent English Lecturer in Bedford, with a salary of £30,000 to £40,000 per annum. The role involves planning and delivering effective English lessons to learners across a range of abilities and educational backgrounds, and supporting students in developing their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. You will prepare learners for English qualifications and examinations, assess, monitor and record student progress, and provide additional support and guidance to help learners achieve their targets. Creating an inclusive and positive learning environment and contributing to curriculum development and departmental activities are also key responsibilities.

The Ideal Candidate

* Holds a relevant degree or qualification in English.
* Has a recognised teaching qualification, or is working towards one.
* Has experience teaching English within a further education setting (desirable).
* Demonstrates excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* Can engage, motivate and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
* Is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning
