Salary: -30,00035,000 per annum
Lloyd Recruitment Services are looking for a Deputy Production Manager to join a busy and creative team in the publishing and events industry.
This would suit someone with a background in design and production who enjoys being hands-on but is also happy to help manage a team and keep projects running smoothly. You'll work alongside the Production Manager, helping to organise the day-to-day workload, check the quality of work and make sure deadlines are met.
The role covers a real mix of projects, including magazines, digital content, marketing materials and event promotions, so no two days are likely to be the same.
Deputy Production Manager role will involve:
- Working on a range of design projects for print and digital.
- Checking artwork and making sure everything is accurate before it goes out.
- Helping other designers with their work and offering guidance where needed.
- Keeping track of projects, deadlines and the team's workload.
- Preparing files for print and liaising with printers to ensure everything runs to plan.
- Supporting the production of digital content, including email campaigns and online publications.
- Working with freelancers and external suppliers when required.
- Looking at ways to improve how work is organised and completed.
- Supporting the Production Manager with the smooth running of the department.
What we're looking for in the Deputy Production Manager:
- Experience in design and production, ideally within publishing, media, events or an agency.
- Good working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- An understanding of print production and preparing artwork for print.
- Some experience with digital design and content.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Someone who can manage their time well and keep on top of several projects at once.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to work with different people across the business.
- Previous experience supporting or guiding other team members.
Experience working with freelancers, project management systems or automation tools would also be useful but isn't essential.
The opportunity
The salary is -30,00035,000, depending on experience. This is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys design but is ready to take on more responsibility, helping to support a team and play a bigger part in the planning and delivery of creative projects.
