A well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Poole is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join its skilled workshop team.
This is a hands-on role offering long-term stability, varied work, and opportunities to develop within a successful engineering business.
The Role You will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery to manufacture high-precision components, ensuring all work is completed to engineering drawings and the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming, setting, and operating XYZ CNC machines.
- Working on manual lathes and milling machines.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Selecting tooling, setting offsets, and proving out new programs.
- Manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances.
- Carrying out self-inspection throughout production using measuring equipment.
- Deburring and finishing components where required.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping, and health andamp; safety.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a CNC Machinist.
- Experience programming, setting, and operating XYZ CNC machines, CNC lathes, and CNC mills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience working to tight tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
