About this role
This is a permanent CNC Lathe Programmer role based in Batley (WF17), working with our client. The position involves programming CNC lathes from engineering drawings, setting and operating CNC turning machines, and editing and optimising existing programs to improve efficiency. You will select tooling, fixtures and cutting parameters, produce precision-engineered components to tight tolerances, and carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections using micrometers, verniers, bore gauges and other measuring equipment. Troubleshooting machining and tooling issues also forms part of the role. Candidates should have previous experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer, with the ability to program, set and operate CNC lathes independently and a strong understanding of Fanuc controls.
Job Description
We are currently looking to recruit a CNC Lathe Programmer, to join our client based in Batley (WF17).
Working Hours
Monday - Thursday (08:00am - 16:30pm)
Friday (08:00am - 15:00pm)
Pay Rate: Start rate -17ph, can be negotiated based on expereince.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming CNC lathes from engineering drawings.

Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer.
- Ability to program, set and operate CNC lathes independently.
- Strong understanding of Fanuc controls (other control systems also considered).
- Experience working from detailed engineering drawings.
- Ability to manufacture components to tight tolerances.
- Strong inspection and quality control skills.
- Experience within precision engineering or subcontract machining environments.
