About this role
This is a temporary Class 1 / Class 2 Tanker Driver role based at the Wrexham depot, operating specialist vehicles including tankers, combination units and jetting units on journeys to customer sites. Duties may include driving Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles, operating tankers, combi and jetting units, completing daily vehicle and safety checks, completing relevant documentation accurately, and following site-specific health and safety procedures while working alongside operational teams. Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 or Class 2 driving licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, with no more than six points. Overtime, weekend work and call-outs may be required.

The Role
Finlay Jude Recruitment is recruiting experienced Class 1 and Class 2 Tanker Drivers on behalf of an established environmental services and emergency response organisation based in Wrexham.
Due to increased workload, our client is looking for experienced drivers to operate specialist vehicles, including tankers, combination units and jetting units, travelling from the Wrexham depot to customer sites.
This is an excellent opportunity for drivers with experience within tanker operations, waste, drainage, industrial services or jetting who are looking for consistent work with the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Depending on your experience and tickets, duties may include:
- Driving Class 1 or Class 2 specialist vehicles
- Operating tankers, combi and jetting units
- Travelling to customer sites from the Wrexham depot
- Supporting waste, industrial and environmental service operations
- Completing daily vehicle and safety checks
- Ensuring vehicles and equipment are operated safely
- Completing relevant documentation accurately
- Working alongside operational teams on customer sites
- Following site-specific health and safety procedures
- Undertaking overtime, weekend work and call-outs when required
Essential Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
- Valid Class 1 or Class 2 driving licence
- Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 points on your driving licence
- No serious driving convictions
- A safe and professional approach to driving and site work
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
We would be particularly interested in speaking with drivers who have:
- ADR
- Previous tanker driving experience
- Vacuum tanker experience
- Combi or jetting unit experience
- Waste or environmental services experience
- Industrial services experience
- Confined Space tickets
- Industrial or tank cleaning experience
- Candidates who are dual-skilled as both drivers and operators are particularly encouraged to apply, as additional skills and relevant tickets may attract a premium.
