Aspire People is recruiting Chemistry specialists for secondary schools across South Birmingham, with teaching opportunities available from Monday 2 November and throughout the remainder of the academic year.

We're particularly interested in teachers based around Kings Heath, Moseley, Kings Norton, Selly Oak, Bournville and surrounding areas who would welcome the opportunity to work closer to home.

WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE?

We recruit for daily supply, short-term cover, regular weekly bookings and long-term Chemistry teaching assignments, alongside potential permanent opportunities.

Depending on your experience and the school's requirements, assignments may involve teaching general Science across KS3, delivering GCSE Chemistry and Combined Science at KS4, or teaching A Level Chemistry at KS5.

Longer-term positions may include lesson planning, marking, assessment, practical investigations and supporting pupils with GCSE and A Level examination preparation.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You will need QTS or QTLS, strong Chemistry subject knowledge and the confidence to deliver engaging lessons across the secondary age range.

We are particularly interested in teachers who can explain complex chemical concepts clearly, manage practical activities safely and encourage pupils to develop confidence in their scientific understanding.

Strong classroom management, adaptability and the ability to support pupils of different abilities are essential.
