Driver Hire Southampton are recruiting for a 7.5T Driver to join our client in the healthcare sector. You will be playing a vital role in supporting healthcare professionals and hospitals by ensuring essential medical devices are transported safely, securely and on time.
Working between a decontamination facility and hospital sites, you'll help keep vital healthcare services running smoothly. This is a scheduled delivery and collection role, not a multi-drop position, involving the movement of transport trolleys and containers.
What We Offer:
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Contract: Full-time, permanent
- Shifts: Rotating 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday (06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00)
- Weekend working: One weekend in four (Saturday and Sunday, 10:00-18:00)
Your Responsibilities:
- Safely deliver and collect medical devices according to scheduled routes and times.
- Provide professional, friendly customer service at hospital sites.
- Complete vehicle safety checks and report maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete required documentation.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including confidentiality requirements.
- Report incidents promptly and contribute to a safe working environment.
What We're Looking For:
- A valid 7.5T driving licence.
- A Valid CPC and tachograph card.
- Good communication, customer service and organisational skills.
- Excellent timekeeping and a responsible approach to road safety.
- Knowledge of local roads is an advantage.
- Previous driving or delivery experience is desirable.
